Superstorm Sandy – What can you do?

When we experience major disasters, our hearts are turned to our fellow humans, seeing the misery that is visited on them.  I am sure you, like me, wonder, “What can I do?”

As a veterinarian, my thoughts are turned to another very vulnerable part of the community, the lost, stranded or injured dogs and cats.  I thought I would share a link to one organization that I am confident uses donations to directly benefit pets and families. There is a great need for pets affected by the most recent storm in the mid-Atlantic states. That charity is The American Veterinary Medical Foundation.  Oasis Animal Hospital has made a modest donation in behalf of you, our caring clients. If you feel so inclined, I invite you to consider donating a little something as well.  Here is the link to their website.

Thanks for your generosity and goodness in caring for you pets.  We are honored to be your veterinarians.
